Seminar: Delivering Presentations To Hostile, Resistant Audiences and Moving Past SURVIVAL
Note: This seminar is for those who have already learned the basic elements of effective presentations.
There is nothing more daunting and challenging than knowing that your prospective audience does not want to hear the messages you have to deliver. It doesn't matter if it's an audience of ten, or one hundred. It doesn't even matter if you are experienced in making presentations, since the skills required to manage and communicate with an audience and get the message across in a way that might open some minds and ears isn't something most people are taught.
Our half day seminar provides presenters with the skills needed to establish their credibility, so they can, at minimum, get a fair hearing. Partipants will also learn to handle a number of the basic behavioral issues that pop up with hostile audiences; heckling, constant questioning, interruptions, etc.
Target: If staff often have to deliver bad news to groups, this seminar will be valuable. Whether it's executives talking about layoffs to staff, Human Resources staff delivering bad news, company spokespeople leading focus groups, there is a good fit.
Generally, we offer this to a group of people from one company. However, we can offer one to one coaching for this one.
To get a sense of possible content and focus of this seminar, you might want to get a copy of our LearnBytes Helpcard, entitled Dealing With Hostile Audiences And Groups.
