In today's fast paced world, most of us don't have the time to invest in reading lots of leadership material, but it's important to keep developing and learning whether you are a leader-to-be, an experienced leader, or an established successful one. Personally, I rely heavily on audiobooks to keep up and for self-development and entertainment. The reason is that I can "read" an audiobook at any time, using traditionally "dead" time to learn. Whether it's during commutes, while driving, taking a bath, doing the dishes, shovelling snow, gardening, etc, it's possible to turn any dull task into a chance to learn.

During the last few years, it's become possible to get excellent leadership material in audio format, quickly and inexpensively by ordering and downloading the files via the net. The costs have fallen so significantly that some material (e.g. short Harvard Business Review learning excerpts) can be listened to for less than $2.00. It's pretty amazing.
